My family totally spoiled me today :). My kids picked out beautiful flowers for me, we went to my favorite neighborhood breakfast place for fluffy chocolate pancakes, and my husband took the kids to the park in the afternoon so I can have a few quiet hours to myself. It was a great, relaxing day.
Part of me felt a little guilty and sad, that I couldn’t celebrate with my mother on this day because she lives thousands of miles away. My mother taught me about being kind, hard-working and focusing on inner beauty before outer appearance. She also showed me how to age gracefully.
Happy Mother’s Day, mom! Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of months to spend some quality mother-daughter time together.
